Individual Psychotherapy
Do relationships cause you a lot of stress (romantic, familial, friendships, work relationships)? Are you trying to figure out whether you should end a relationship or stay and make it work? Are you tired of relationships failing, and you're starting to think perhaps you are the common thread? I specialize in helping individuals and couples identify the causes of their relationship problems and treat them. Patients describe me as warm, knowledgeable, nonjudgmental, upbeat, and at times playful. I am a very curious and energetic person and constantly try to learn new ways to help my patients, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
In addition to relationship problems, I am skilled at treating depression, anxiety, grief, perinatal/post-partum depression and anxiety, and trauma. I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), schema therapy, mindfulness, and the Gottman method.
I view it as a privilege to accompany you on your journey and take my work seriously, working hard to help my patients on their path of healing and growth. If you are interested in medication, I am happy to coordinate with a psychiatric provider. I often involve family members in treatment, if you are open to it. I try to do what it takes to help you thrive.
