Sometimes in life stressful things happen. Sometimes we experience mental health issues that feel beyond our control. Our quality of life may suffer or we may struggle to reach our goals. I am here to help. I try to create a warm and nonjudgmental space for you to reflect and grow.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor I have experience helping people with a variety of issues including stress, depression, relationship problems, and perinatal/postpartum concerns. I also enjoy helping couples learn to communicate more effectively and strengthen their friendship.
I use a variety of interventions to help you reach your goals, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Gottman Method (for couples).
If you are interested in medication to help with your concerns, I will coordinate with your primary care doctor or psychiatric provider. I do whatever I can to help you on your path of healing and growth and view it as a privilege to accompany you on your journey.

ABOUT ME
I am originally from outside Philadelphia. I attended McGill University in Montreal for my undergraduate degree and majored in history, minored in psychology. I fell in love with philosophy there. Plato defined a philosophy as a set of ideas about how to live a good life. I think being a psychotherapist is like being a philosopher, in many ways - I help my patients identify what kind of lives they want.
I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY University at Buffalo in 2017. I worked at Horizon Health Services on Buffalo's East Side for four years before going into private practice. My experiences in community mental health helped me learn about the many resources in our community.
I consider myself a lifelong learner and love reading books and articles on psychology or other social sciences. My husband and I live in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood with our two young daughters. I enjoy going to art galleries and museums, gardening, and cooking.
